PREAMBLE

IN THE NAME OF THE ALMIGHTY GOD FROM WHOM ALL
AUTHORITY IS DERIVED AND TO WHOM ALL ACTIONS BOTH OF
MEN AND STATES MUST BE REFERRED.

We the entire Nigerian Citizens,

REALISING the ardent need to organize ourselves to be actively involved in the development of Nigeria through community development projects, and to sensitize the society to appreciate the fact that most of our rural areas in the country today are still not given much needed attention when it comes to the provision of social amenities, environmental protection and poverty alleviation to the grassroots level.
APPRECIATING the multifarious problems of our people amidst our resources and high potentialities; and the role we each needs to play to ensure a rapid development at the grassroots level, gave birth to the formation of this organization known as Social Justice & Grassroots Development (SOJGDEV) in march 2001

GENERAL INFORMATION ON SOCIAL
JUSTICE & GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT (SOJGDEV)

1. Date Organization was founded: March 2001

2. Who founded the Organization? Mr. John O. Aigbokhaode
in collaboration with some
other men & women Nigerians.
3. Aims & Objective
To promote the health and social well being of all Nigerians through:
(a) Women Empowerment Programs i.e (granting of interest free loans to
rural women to kick start their business or enhance already existing ones,
and family planning programs etc.
(b) Community Environment Sanitation (i.e. through Seminars/workshop and campaign aimed at dissuading people from bush burning, and encouraging the citizenry on tree and flower planting).
(c) Construction of (Water) Bole Holes i.e. for rural communities where there are shortages of water supply and building of toilet facilities for primary/secondary schools in Edo State Nigeria.
(d) Skill Acquisition Programs: i.e. for the training of underprivileged boys/girls in the areas of computers softwares, carpentry, shoemaking, hairdressing and tailoring etc.

4. Mode of Operation
To Construct, build landed properties.
Organize Seminars/workshops/conferences,
to create awareness of our programs.
To seek for funds, technical and manpower locally
and internationally in order execute our projects.


5. (a) How do we get our funding?
(SOJGDEV) has no other means of funding than to depend on the generosity of
its members, and international Charitable organization/foundations
who are interested in our programs.



(b) How much money are we requesting?
We are requesting for funds ranging from N1.00 N5,000,000 ($1.00 50,000)
depending on the capability of the donor. No amount is too small, it will be
kindly appreciated.

(c ) Are there any deadline for assistance?
We have no deadline for your assistnce.

6. Management of Grants
Fund Granted to (SOJGDEV are judiciously utilized for our projects
.
7. Have we received funding from any International donor?
No, (SOJGDEV) has not received funding from international
Organization, but we have been assisted sometimes by individual donations
in Nigeria.


8. Reports/Feedback to Donors
We encourage donors to monitor our activities as possible as they can.
On our part, we shall always provide pictures and video tapes
of our activities to our sponsors.


9. Commissioning of Projects:
Landed propeties projects executed By (SOJGDEV) are commissioned
after the funder name. (This is optional).


10. Relationship with Bodies
(SOJGDEV) is a friendly not-profit organization and welcomes
affiliation with any local or international organization who are interested
in partnership with us to execute our projects.

11. Impact of projects on the communities
(SOJGDEV) was founded to meet the social needs of the (poor people) in the rural areas where Government of the day fails to provide. . All the projects earmarked here for execution are those which are mostly needed in Nigeria today to help those concern in all the areas mentioned..
Our aim is to provide some of these services to as many people as possible as much as we can.



Relationship with other bodies

Social Justice &Grassroots Development is a friendly non-governmental, non-political, non religious, and non profit orgnization. We shall affiliate with other local and international organizations who are interested in our programs.


Membership

Membership is open to everyone anywhere in the world irrespective of religion, ethnic, place of birth, sex, social or economic status, provided that:
(a) the person is above 18 years
(b) obeys the rules and regulations of the organization constitution
(c) accepts the aims and objective of the orgnization.
(d) Work towards the goal and aspirations of the organization.

12. Funding Procedure.
Individuals/organizations who wish to fund our projects should study the projects earmarked for funding and indicate their interest on any of the program and/or projects they wish to fund. See Projects earmarked for funding
